We asked our colleagues from the previous internship program what was useful and important for them, what they learned and what they are currently working on.
The internship program went extremely well. I gained a lot of new knowledge and upgraded the ones I already had. The most important thing I learned is how to deal with problems and prevent them.
It was not easy due to the project's size and the variety of technologies used in it. But it helped me a lot that I could address each of my colleagues when I had difficulties.
I work on a project that has been developed for more than 10 years in the financial industry. The most interesting thing for me is that it uses some of the latest technologies, but also a variety of others, which helps me to enrich my knowledge.
I would recommend the internship program because it helped me improve my knowledge and apply it in a real project. As well as gaining experience and getting to know the working environment in the company.

The internship program passed quite quickly. The people "involved" in the internship program go above and beyond to make each of the participants their future colleague. In fact, onboarding was not at all difficult for me, because everyone in the team and outside it helped me, and this led to a quick integration into the work process.
I work in a team with several colleagues on the migration of a project to a more advanced technology that makes it possible to implement improvements, both on the functional and UI/UX sides, which makes the process very fascinating and interesting.
I would recommend the internship program at VSG to people who want to understand what the profession of "programmer" is, what processes it is related to, what are the challenges and how it is possible for a person to feel good while at work.

The internship program passed successfully. One of the most important things that a person can gain from an internship is new knowledge, as well as experience in a real work environment.
VSG provides financial software services. Our team's domain is related to documentary processing before, during and after a loan. The most interesting thing is that in addition to developing my technical skills, I also enriched my knowledge of the fintech industry. Every day I communicate with both the Bulgarian and the American team to synchronize the requirements for the development of the new functionalities of the application. This contributes to our successful teamwork.
I would recommend the VSG internship program because you go through every step of the way to creating a Web application. Mentors are always there for questions, providing additional resources and knowledge. The environment is friendly and allows for development in the desired direction.

The internship program went quite systematically and consistently, according to the program made by the mentors. It included lectures, exercises and creating a real application from start to finish. This gave us the opportunity to start working on the company product before the end of the program. Our time was enough to learn and have fun.
During the internship program I met all colleagues from my current team, which made the onboarding process very pleasant and easy. I knew the people I was going to work with, and they accepted me very well and were friendly. I am glad to be part of this team. I am interested in the challenges I face daily – to work on an application that helps banks in lending.

The most important thing I have learned is to be brave about new things. Even if I do not know something now, it is enough to have the desire to achieve it. My new team accepted me as if I had always been a part of it. I had a short training session on how to work on a specific project, the processes and what is expected of me.
I am currently trying new things because I work as a Database Developer. I am learning and working with SQL. The most interesting thing for me is to learn something new every day.
